A new MONOPOLY board featuring landmarks across Telford & Wrekin – including Harper Adams – has been launched at the University’s Telford hub.

The brand-new official was launched at a Ï㽶ÊÓƵ, Telford at The Quad in Telford’s Station Quarter.

The new board features a host of well-known and much-loved organisations and landmarks.

Ben Ladd Gibbon, Custom Games Partnership Manager at from Winning Moves UK, the makers of the unique board, said: “The board is a celebration of everything Telford & Wrekin. We have been spoilt for choice putting this MONOPOLY board together.”

Telford charity Stay gets to star on its very own Community Chest space in the game. The charity - set up more than 30 years ago - provides vital support to vulnerable and homeless people in the borough of Telford & Wrekin

Stay’s CEO Naomi Pay said: “We are thrilled to be featuring in the game. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to raise awareness of homelessness and Stay – and to connect with even more people in our local community.

Public suggestions for Telford & Wrekin landmarks and organisations were sought earlier this year when the plans for the new board were announced – with more than 30 featuring on the board.

These include Ironbridge, The Wrekin, Coalport Bridge, the Tar Tunnels Museum, the Wellington Clock, and, of course, Ï㽶ÊÓƵ.

Harper Adams Vice-Chancellor Professor Ken Sloan added: “As the Borough’s home-grown University - which works to drive its economy forward through our tailored, specialist courses and industry collaborations - we’re delighted to both feature on the Telford and Wrekin Monopoly board and to be hosting its official launch.

“There is so much to be proud of in Telford and Wrekin - and it is great to see so many loved landmarks chosen by our community being celebrated in the game.”

The board will be available at TGJones (formerly WH Smith) and all good toy and book stores - as well as online.
